01 / DefineResolve the field inputs
State the crop, coverage area, water source and quality, design flow and operating pressure. Describe the drip irrigation emitter layout and whether fertigation is part of the scope. The controller response must be tied to that field arrangement, rather than a generic zone count.
Confirm power at the enclosure and valve locations, cable distances and existing sensor wiring. Photographs and diagrams can be discussed during follow-up; this form does not accept file uploads.
02 / MatchAsk for a named configuration
Factory screening starts with the requested interfaces, enclosure conditions, quantity and US destination. Ask the respondent to identify the exact model, firmware or software revision and included modules. Substitutions remain separate proposals until their differences are accepted in writing.
MOQ and sample availability are supplier questions, not published stock promises. A sample can support a bench check, but it cannot prove site-wide radio coverage or pressure uniformity.
03 / CompareExpose the purchase exclusions
Collect controller, gateway, sensors, valves, power supplies and spare-part costs separately. Compare currency, unit basis, trade terms, packing, freight, taxes, subscription fees and support responsibilities across the same quantity. A low controller price can leave the communications or commissioning work unpriced.
Premium, mid-range and budget-friendly are buyer preferences. Use them to discuss enclosure quality, expansion, customization and service trade-offs without implying a verified factory rating.
04 / VerifyAgree a check before acceptance
Request wiring diagrams, input/output specifications, installation instructions and model-specific destination documents. Define who will check valve operation, alarm response and retained schedules after power or network loss. Any inspection or logistics arrangement needs a separately confirmed scope.
Lead time requires a dated factory reply that identifies the production and shipping assumptions. Build the seasonal delivery need into the inquiry, including when the site can receive and test the equipment.
